Lyndsey Johnsen, LCSW


Lyndsey Johnsen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Aurora University. Lyndsey's 12 years of extensive experience includes providing therapeutic services in non-profit mental health agencies, schools, inpatient psychiatric, hospice and medical settings. Lyndsey provides individual, family and group sessions to provide an atmosphere where connectedness to others can be strengthened and emotional wellbeing will be restored.

Lyndsey specializes in working with children, adolescents and their families who experience trauma. Trust Based Relational Intervention and the ARC Model are utilized to teach families how to build stronger connections and improve safety awareness. Certified in Theraplay and Trust Based Relational Intervention. Lyndsey also has experience facilitating adoptive parent groups, self-regulation groups and connection based nurture groups for children with Attachment Disorders.

Through her time working in with stroke and oncology programs, Lyndsey has also gained experience working with individuals with acute and chronic physical health conditions. She recognizes how life altering a new physical health diagnosis can be, and is dedicated to assisting individuals discover what their new reality will look like. She is also passionate about providing emotional support and encouragement to those individuals who have been struggling to cope with chronic medical conditions.

Lyndsey’s main areas of focus include: major life changes and transitions, stress related to physical conditions, depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, and trauma.

Lyndsey will guarantee to provide a warm environment where there is an emphasis on truth, positivity, humor, creativity, playfulness, and joy. Lyndsey uses solution focused therapy and holistic integrated approaches that focus on the physical symptoms in the body, mindfulness strategies, life style changes, and art therapy.

Lyndsey is ready to guide you to identify and overcome challenges and fears so that you can live your life to its fullest potential. Lyndsey is in network with Health Alliance Cross Blue Shield and Life Works/ Ceridian EAP.

Stephanie Hueramo.jpg

Stephanie Hueramo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. She moved to Bloomington, IL in 2016 and believes the area is her "perfect dose of almost living a country life". She received her Masters in Social Work from Dominican University and graduated with honors. She completed her masters internship at Lutherbrook Academy working with the youngest children, aged six to nine years old. There, she provided individual and group therapy to children with a variety of behavioral and mental health conditions.

Stephanie has considerable experience working with children (aged 3years and up), adolescents, couples, and families. She has experience in child and family therapy, child welfare, corrections, and private practice.

Stephanie specializes in: Children and Adolescents, Parenting Concerns, Mood Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Delays, Child and Adult Survivors of Abuse/Neglect and Domestic Violence, Relationship Issues, Anxiety and Depression.

Additionally, she works with individuals experiencing personal and professional disruption due to Post Traumatic Stress, Secondary Traumatic Stress, Compassion Fatigue, Burn Out, Life Changes/Transitions, Divorce, and Grief and Loss.

Stephanie seeks to provide a comfortable and safe environment. Her outgoing, bubbly, warm, and welcoming personality shines through her work and allows clients to recognize her passion for working with children and families.

Stephanie works from a collaborative, client-centered, strengths-based approach and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused, family systems, psychodynamic, and play therapies.

Jenn Bovee, LCSW, CRADC, CCHt

EMDR Trained

Certified in Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor, Grief Recovery Therapist, in Clinical Hypnosis, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Jenn provides individual, couple, family and group sessions to heal deep, long-lived wounds and restore love, respect, peace and confidence in them.

Jenn received her Masters in Social Work from St. Ambrose University, and graduated with honors. She completed her Masters internship at Genesis Employee Assistance Program, in Davenport Iowa. And has an extensive history working in addictions treatment centers, community mental health centers, women and children’s programs, and private practice.

Areas of highest interest and results for Jenn include: Depression, anxiety, women’s issues, substance abuse, LGBTQIA/kink, trauma related issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, habits and behaviors, and emotional trauma.

With decades of experience in therapeutic relationship, she has seen its effects and understands its importance.
