Girls Stress Management Group

Children aged 12 - 15 are living with such high levels of stress. These sources of stress are coming at our teenagers from conflicting sources (including their own bodies).  These sources of stress include juggling multiple responsibilities, difficulty managing relationships, school issues, negative thoughts about themselves or their bodies, experiencing body changes, witnessing difficulties in parent relationships, and the list goes on. We can all admit being a teenager in today’s world is extremely difficult. 

This group is appropriate for your daughter if she demonstrates the following characteristics:

Symptoms of Chronic stress:

  • Irritability

  • Increase or decrease in appetite

  • Digestive problems

  • Disruptive sleep

  • Rapid/disorganized thoughts

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Fatigue

  • Memory issues

  • Increased communication challenges

This group will be facilitated by Zoe Baker, LCSW, one of our Child and Adolescent Clinicians. Check out the group details below:

  • Thursday, March 14, 2024

  • Time 5:30PM, for 45-60 minutes

  • 8-week group

  • $35 per group session or $263 if paid in advance, not billable to insurance

  • This group will be limited to 12 members

Group members will cover topics such as:

  • Mindfulness

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Meaning-making

  • Relationship skills

  • Communication skills

  • Distress Tolerance

  • Education about how stress impacts the body & mind as well as how to address it appropriately

  • Resilience

  • Understanding triggers
