Professional Experience

In addition to my work as a therapist, I have served my community as a police officer for more than 21 years. I currently serve in law enforcement while maintaining a clinical practice, allowing me to bring both professional and firsthand experience to my work with clients.

Professional Skills

Throughout my law enforcement career, I have served as a Detective, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer and Instructor, Hostage/Crisis Negotiator, and Peer Support Officer. These roles have deepened my understanding of trauma, crisis response, resilience, and the emotional demands faced by first responders and the communities they serve.

Therapeutic Approaches

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's goals. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered therapy to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I use a versatile approach that is client-centered. Sleep quality is assessed early in treatment to support the client’s ability to process their thoughts, improve their emotional regulation, and enhance the effects of applied interventions. I tailor my approach to address the challenges that are present for each client.

Philosophy of Care

Whether I am working with a first responder, someone recovering from trauma, or an individual navigating life's everyday challenges, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to helping each client build emotional wellness, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
